Our Founder

Matthew Ricchiazzi founded Change Buffalo in 2009. The non-partisan committee, comprised of Western New Yorker civic leaders, is deeply concerned about the economic trajectory of the region. Change Buffalo serves as a forum for innovations in state and municipal policy, urban design, and civic advancement.

Ricchiazzi holds a Bachelors of Science in Urban & Regional Studies from Cornell University’s Department of City and Regional Planning; and an MBA concentrated in private equity and structured finance, from Cornell University’ Graduate School of Management. In 2007, he was a Public Policy & International Affairs Fellow at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School.
